Press Release incoming

Postby vireland » Tue Feb 02, 2010 1:09 am

Got a few press releases in the pipeline, but it's taken a little longer than expected to wrap up the final details so they can be published. However, the next one should be out this week, and shortly after that we'll *finally* have the release for the Blaster Master promotion and pictures of the cool collectible prizes.

Cool, and I'll be looking forward to what the PR is about... But, Vic, can you at least indicate if the press release will be about a Sunsoft title or a Telenet title? Since we're talking about 200+ titles that it could be about, whittling doen the list can certainly help.

Sunsoft. The first Telenet one is one or two more releases after this. Takes time to get through the Nintendo process.

I'm guessing Gimmick or Ufouria at 2-1 odds, Journey to Silus at 5-1 with Freedom Force and Albert Odyssey the strong dark horses at 10-1.

Prop Bets By System
NES 1-1
SNES 5-1
TG-16 10-1
N64 25-1
Saturn 40-1

...
Yes, I spend way too much time in Sportsbooks.

And I hope Ufouria goes first, But as a Translation of it's Japanese counterpart, Otherwise (if it is not fixed!), This will screw up releasing the so-called ''Sequels'' of Hebereke. And creates a hole in the Hebereke Game universe.

I known this by looking at Wikipedia, Good source that I update (Example: Journey to silius, while Nintendo was publishing 1989 issues of Nintendo Power, was a Terminator game. and lost the licence for the movie, and was developed by a couple of people who made Hebereke, but Hebereke was a nickname of a graphics artist of SunSoft/Sun Corporation of Japan way back when. Oh, Don't forget the best Famicom/NES music composer ever named ''Noboyuki H.'')

Also, (Mr.) Gimmick! get's my Second vote.

Yes I am very well aware of Sunsoft Cannon and History - you could even say I have first hand knowledge.

Frankly, I can't imagine anything from Sunsoft that was on the Turbo. There were no US released games, & there's not that many in general. I suppose it'd be cool if they released City Hunter, but, that's probably a no-go.

I welcome any new press release to be honest. The forums had gotten really stale lately. That, and I'm busy dealing with real life affairs on a day-to-day basis so I can't always pop in.

But as for the news, I'm betting on Journey to Silius next. Great game, even though it is remembered the most for its soundtrack.

I think Journey to Silius has a much better chance of being announced. Gimmick would be a great surprise, but so would Batman in my opinion. I really hope Sunsoft is able to put out Batman.
