Any chance for a Cosmic Fantasy Collection?
Any chance we may finally see the complete Cosmic Fantasy collection come stateside? Growing up with WD and my TG16 back in the day I always hoped to see what else happened in that universe. Cosmic Fantasy 2 pretty much spurred my interest in jrpg's and is still in my personal top 10. They just don't make em like they used to.

Probably not a "collection" per se, but individual chapters aren't out of the question. It's just an issue of how much source is available, and that's not clear yet.

Well I'll definitely take whatever I can get. Since losing my copy of CF2 for the TG16 I've been hoping that it might make it's way back in some form or another.

I'll also take anything I can get, mainly of the ones that never made it stateside, though, I know I'd also enjoy a remake of CF2. CF2 was my absolute first true RPG ever, & is still one of my favorite games. It opened up alot of RPG love in me that I never knew I had. There was a time I actually hated RPG's & thought they were stupid, but, I remember especially seeing coverage of the upcoming english version of it in EGM, & just the artwork alone(I also used to hate anime) & the fact that WD was behind it, made me preorder it.....I'm not even sure if I had ever preordered a game before CF2!

And that ending song... nothing I played up until then had anything so movie like. All I know is after that game anytime I saw the WD logo I was on it, and never disappointed. Thanks to people like Victor for bringing over some great Japanese software and giving them the treatment they deserved instead of the typical "Engrish" we used to get.

I guess I will go ahead & say that the game made me emotional, including the song, loved it. That was the first game to get me emotional over anything. There have been others, but, that was the first. Thanks Vic & crew!

Is Cosmic Fantasy 2 really that good. I own the game and the Turbo CD but still have never played the game. I may have to play this game then. Dungeon Explorer 2 is the other game I really want to beat on my Turbo CD that I own. I sank $150 to land a copy of DE2 on Ebay.

The combat is kind of crap, but the story arc (multiple perspectives from multiple time periods that converge) and characters are what made it great for me.

Deffinitly. There's nothing special about the combat, & wierdly enough(even in the Jp version), there are no status effects like poison, but there are antidotes, or atleast, so I'm told, as I haven't played the game in awhile, & never really thought about it, until someone pointed it out! But the characters & story are great, no question about that! That's what really endeared me to the game. I was playing CF3 a little not long ago, & IIRC, the battles are improved upon, & even moreso in CF4.

I wouldn't mind a collection myself but it would be no fun to weed out cash from potential buyers on the VC.
